Pulp Magazine has an educational component of live and pre-recorded classes, and we'd love to expand our faculty roster!
If you have an idea for a 45-90 minute class that falls into one of our pillars*, please submit a proposal that includes:
-which pillar it falls under
-proposed length of course
-proposed course description (what it will cover, why folks should take it, catchy course title)
-a video pitch that discusses why people should take your class
*Constitutional (wellness+repro. justice), Creative Juices (the craft of writing+making), HankyCode (all things identity), Not So G-Ratd (all things sex/uality), and Rare Objects (arts+culture.)
We pay teachers (as we do our writers) a flat fee of $250. This fee is contingent upon getting breaking even — this means you need ten students paying $25 a class in order for the class to run. We'll help you market and promote the class leading up to it.
We schedule our courses a few months out, so make sure your course content is flexible enough to be somewhat classic, as very timely courses likely won't get picked up (though they may make for a great live event! Ping us anyway if this is the case).
